Terms of Use

These terms apply to the Dupely mobile app and to this website. By using Dupely you agree to them. If you do not, do not use the app.

What Dupely is

Dupely takes a photograph or a typed product name, asks a language model what the product is, and suggests cheaper alternatives. It is a shopping aid and a starting point for your own research. It is not a valuation, an authentication service, or advice.

The free tier and Dupely Pro

Dupely is free to install and includes a limited number of scans, the closest suggested alternative per scan, and a short history. Dupely Pro removes those limits and adds the ability to ask follow-up questions about a scan.

Subscriptions

• Dupely Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, offered on a weekly or a yearly term. The price and term are shown in the app before you buy and are charged to your Apple ID.
• Where a free trial is offered, it is stated on the purchase screen. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription at the stated price.
• Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period.
• To cancel, open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, select Dupely and turn off auto-renewal. You can also reach the same screen from Settings inside the app while you are subscribed. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Purchases are handled by Apple. Refunds are Apple’s to give, under its own policy — we cannot issue them. If something has gone wrong, write to us anyway and we will help where we can.
• Prices may change. If they do, the change applies from your next renewal and you will be told before it takes effect.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• upload photographs you have no right to use, or that contain other people who have not agreed to it;
• upload illegal, abusive or sexually explicit material;
• use Dupely to produce, source or market counterfeit goods, or to pass an alternative off as the original;
• scrape, bulk-query or resell the service, or use it to build a competing dataset;
• attempt to bypass the free-scan limits, the rate limits or the subscription;
• interfere with the service or attempt to gain access to parts of it that are not yours.

We may rate-limit or block a device that does any of these. Because there is no account, that is the only enforcement available to us.

Your content

The photographs and text you submit remain yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service on your behalf: to transmit your photo to the analysis provider, to store it for as long as the Privacy Policy says, and to show you the result. We do not use your content to train models and we do not publish it.

Brands

Product and brand names appear in Dupely only to describe the items being discussed. Dupely is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them, and no suggestion in the app should be read as a claim about a brand’s own products. All trademarks belong to their owners.

No warranty

Dupely is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, that results will be correct, or that any suggested alternative is available, genuine or suitable.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from a purchase you made on the strength of a suggestion in the app. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you paid nothing, to nothing.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions; where that is so, they apply to you only as far as the law allows, and nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and continuing to use Dupely after that means you accept the new version. We may suspend or discontinue the service. You can stop using Dupely at any time, and delete everything it holds from Settings.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of any protection you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
